We took Rachael & in-laws to Enter-Train-Ment in Cincinnati.
Egads! The place is huge.
We couldn't get her out of the playground.

Storytime

Huge crowd at Christmas Storytime.

Post Office

Mailing out Christmas packages at the main Post Office.
Huge line but it really is moving fast.
It's kind of festive since we are all here doing the same thing.
Rachael thinkk it's a hoot.

Santa

Rachael was too freaked out by a strange old man wanting to hold her on his lap. I'm really ok with that.

Teresa convinced her to sit on mom's lap and get the picture taken.

Slane was sleeping and I wasn't about to disturb that.

After the shot we all went to Max & Erma's for supper...and a beer.

Finally with old St. Nick himself .
She was pretty uncomfortable with some stranger wanting to be so friendly. To the point of screaming actually, but Santa took it like a trooper.

This is Teresa & Rach in line to see the Jolly Old Elf at Easton. We have 40 minutes before Max & Erma's can seat us.

Christmas Tree

Here's the tree. I'll try to take a picture of it with the lights off. Teresa does a great job with it every year. Rachael was able to help this year. My job is to carry it in, water it then carry it out at the end of the season.

Half Lit Tree

Teresa ran out of lights before she ran out of tree. So now our tree is half lit like everyone else during the holidays.

Christmas Tree

It's home & in the house! This year's Christmas tree from the St. Mary's lot. I have no idea when we will decorate it. Rachael is thrilled.

Christmas

The Saturday after Thanksgiving Rachael & I hit storytime at the library & they already had their tree up.
Rachael fell in love with it.

Brother and Sister

It's the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and Rachael is helping watch Slane because mom had a rough night.

Autumn Sky

Morning of November 13, 2008.
Wow it turned cold! Winter is about a month away, but we have the coats out.

Scioto Audubon Park

Wow! Sunny today, but not yet above 30 degrees.

Fall

Well the beautiful fall colors are almost gone and we are seeing a lot of grey.
It actually snowed today. Enough to stick to the roof of the carriaghouse.

Cooking

Rachael likes to help us cook.
Teresa said I should let her crack eggs, because she is so good at it.
It became clear this was one of those little tricks couples play on each other.
Rach doesn't so much crack an egg as she does squeeze it till it smashes.

Slane

Slane had a check up today.
Heeis 10 lbs 3 oz, but still only sleeping 2-3 hours at a stretch.

No TV

Call Children's Services! I turned off the TV & ignored my daughter's screams of displeasure.
As you can see she not only lived but is enjoying herself!

Slane

Teresa is working in her studio, Rach is playing & Slane is sleeping in his buzz chair.

Scioto Audubon Park

Not a sunny morning, but indicative of fall.
Rachael & I already walked to the grocery, Slane's formula was on sale.
Later Rachael & I are going to Babies R Us later to get letters for her room to spell her name. Before that I need to hit a couple of tenants up for rent.

Energy

It's Friday night & Rachael has more energy than either of us.
I won't be up past 9, she is wearing a grove in the floor running around.

In The Leaves

Rachael's cousins are lucky enough to have a yard with trees and leaf piles in the fall.
Rachael's dad is lucky enough to have none of the above mentioned items.

Tricks or Treats

Rachael thought holding a bag out & getting candy was a good deal.

Slaane

He does sleep, just not at night.
He got me up at 3:00 this morning.

New Stadium

Our new downtown stadium for the Clippers under construction.

Rachael was a pumpkin fairy at this year's Toddler Halloween Ball at the main library downtown. Rachael really did have a good time, but at the end she lost sight of mom and dad for a moment and became a little uncomfortable.
She can scream "daddy" louder than any other kid there.

Teresa & Slane are calling it a day too.

He loves this swing so much I'm going to hard wire it to the house.

Rach & Grandma Fauvie make a mask out of play-doh. The play-doh was a gift to Rach from Teresa's friends.

PJs

As an adult he will probably be known as The Mighty Slane Morbitzer. That's when I'll show him this!

Dawn & Rachael

Teresa, Grandma, Rachael & Slane spent some time at the park Monday.

Sleeping

He does actually sleep. Just not at night!

New Stroller

We needed a new stroller for 2 kids. Teresa researched it for months and it finally came Friday.
This took a while to put together, but WOW! This must be what strollers in paradise are like.
