Slane has hit the point where he can recognize some pictures and name some body parts.

Sunday

Sunday was beautiful here.
Rachael rode her bike to Starbucks with me in the morning and Slane & I traveled all over in his wagon the rest of the day.
In the evening Rachael & I made blueberry muffins.

Giraffe Mask

Well we are finally finished with our giraffe mask. It was made entirely out of one box.

Dad did the design and cutting. Rachael did all of the gluing, some of the paper mache and most of the painting.

With this project done I can finally do our taxes and tile the basement in that order.

We spent another Saturday at th audubon center. It was raining out so we made paper catapillers instead of a nature walk.

The weather was beautiful yesterday so we took the kids to the park after work.
Jenny gave them her kids' old spring jackets. They are great.
Slane is strong enough to climb all over the playground equipment.
It was an effort keeping them out of the mud.

Audubon Center

Teresa0took the kids to the Audubon Center today to hang out in the play room.

Puzzled

Rachael learned to put her Dora & Diego puzzles together all by herself today.

The Grange Audubon Center has a story time also and Saturday we hit that instead of the library.

We met in the reading room they have to hear a story about ducks then we were taken on a short nature walk down to a platform overlooking the river. It wasn’t too cold for the kids and they really enjoyed it.

The man who read the story took everyone down there with small binoculars for the kids to see the ducks in the distance. They were also able to see geese and gulls.

Afterward everyone hit the play room where the children can dress up in different bird costumes and run around on the play equipment.

Princess

Rachael wanted to be a princess this morning.
How nice that she already had the outfit.
