Easter Eggs
Dyed Easter eggs last night. The kids were excited and apparently no one just dyes eggs now. They come with tons of appliques to use, more than can ever go on a dozen.

Springtime in the village.
Rachael was whipping around on her scooter last night. She is so much better on this than her bicycle. She is depending on the training wheels and is constantly riding at a 30 degree list.
Later we helped a little with the community garden. I gave up most of my plot this year and I’m just going to concentrate on my hops. Rachael and Slane are going to grow their tomatoes and peppers in the neighbor’s yard.
Butterflies
This is the kids with their butterfly garden. We had to order the “butterfly larva” separately because they don’t want them to die.
They are about 4 times larger than they were when we opened the box.
They should be butterflies in about a month.
FYI: We don’t know why they call them “butterfly larva” and not caterpillars either.
Feeling Better
It was a rough weekend for everyone in the house, but we're all feeling much better and Slane and I watched a couple of motorcycle shows. Why do they bother showing anything else on TV?

Breakfast with a book April 6, 2011
Today was Breakfast With A Book and preschool was performing. Rachael is 3rd from right and holding up the signs. At one point they were supposed to grab streamers and wave them, but Rachael’s was stuck on another student’s so Rach didn’t get one. At first she got a worried look on her face, but she drove right past it and just waved her arm in the air as if she had one.
Teresa and Slane joined us this morning. Slane was a little uncomfortable with the chaos of all the students running around and having a good time. He didn’t know what to make of it. His mornings are spent peacefully watching cartoons or playing. He seemed to get over it by the end.
