Hops
Saturday night I decided to let the kids help me pic hops. My two vines are doing really well and Rachael has been after me to let her help. The best hops were up high so I grabbed a ladder and a box and dropped them in from the latter. Not too many down where the kids were so I cut off some sections of vines with a lot on them and asked them to pick them off. They wore out about the time we filled the box. I may have broken a few child labor laws, but these two work for ice cream!
Picnic Without The Pops
This Friday was our last chance to see Picnic With The Pops this summer. We picked up supper at the deli, brought toys for the kids and spread out our blanket. Then it started to sprinkle, then rain. Teresa and the kids went back to the car, but I stayed behind, because I thought I saw it clearing. About 10 minutes later is when the real stuff hit so I packed it in and we had supper in the car. They canceled the show and we met our friends and their daughter in the play room at Graters Ice Cream.
A Very Merry Unbirthday
All week Rachael has been at an art camp at the Columbus Museum Of Art. The theme was A Very Merry Unbirthday. The goal was to explore as many techniques as possible, which is about all you can do at this age. They make their really big tea cups, party hats, cakes, place mats and piƱatas. On Friday afternoon the parents were all invited to the tea party to see what the kids had made.
