Pumpkin Patch

Last week we took the kids to Peter's Farm Market to get pumpkins.

I wanted to buy every pie they had in the store, but we had Rachael's applecrisp at home. We did buy some fresh bread, home made salsa and steak sauce, however.

Train ride in Nelsonville, Ohio

Saturday we decided to drive to Nelsonville, Ohio because they have historic train rides there. The trip down was about an hour and it was easy to find.

We were surprised to find my friend, Ernie Farabaugh, and his family on the same train.

The engine was built in 1952, but they had a steam locomotive there being restored. The cars were from different eras and were comfortable for our hour and a half trip.

The landscape passing by the windows really held the kid's attention, like a cartoon without the animals talking with speech impediments.

We were expecting to see rolling hills and fall colors and we did, but most of what the tour guide was telling us was about what used to be there.

The kids and I made our 4^th applecrisp of the season last night and I think it’s the best. It was a great way to keep everyone occupied while Teresa worked in the studio.
